Climate change is one of many issues causing declines in insect biodiversity around the world. Rising temperatures and changing climate mean many species can no longer survive in places they have before, and their ranges are being forced to change. On top of this, human activities have in many places reduced the amount of suitable habitat available to insects.

  • A World without Colour

A World without insects equates to
    A World without Colour,
A World without the Toothsome taste of Honey,
A World without the Mouth-watering taste of Strawberries,
A World without the Fresh aroma of Roses blooming in the Spring,
A World without the Beautiful view of Mariposas’ wings, fluttering in the Sky,
A World without the Smooth, Comfortable feel of a silk dress or a silk pillow case on your skin,
A World without Colour is not a world I would like to live in.

The skies are grey, the ground is wet
Welcome to the day where we forget
Forget about the insects that once roamed
Round the fields and cities they used to call home
Helping us in so many ways
    Welcome to our darkest days
    Dandelions, poppies, roses too
Terminated after there were no pollinators to renew
Right now, this is where we’re headed
Hope is all that’s left embedded
Everyone needs to STOP global temperatures rising
Right now, how close we are to this future is surprising
